EU & UK SHIPPING

We currently ship all orders from New Zealand. European fulfilment is scheduled to go live in 2026. Until then, EU and UK customers will receive international deliveries with import VAT/duties charged on arrival, as applicable.

Once our Europe hub is operational in Q1 2026, deliveries to EU addresses will be locally fulfilled with VAT included at checkout and no import charges. UK will remain a separate market with its own VAT rules.

  • Dispatch: From New Zealand.
  • Delivery time: Typically <20 working days to major EU hubs; remote areas may take longer.
  • Charges on arrival: Import VAT and any applicable customs duties/clearance fees are payable by the recipient.
  • Importer of record: The customer.
  • Tracking: Full end-to-end tracking provided after dispatch.

What changes in 2026?

EU orders will ship from within Europe. VAT will be included at checkout, and there will be no import charges on delivery. Delivery times will shorten and returns will be handled locally.

UNITED KINGDOM

United Kingdom (now – before EU hub opens)

  • Dispatch: From New Zealand.
  • Delivery time: Typically 3 weeks to mainland UK; Highlands/Islands may take longer.
  • Charges on arrival: UK import VAT and any applicable customs duties/clearance fees are payable by the recipient.
  • Importer of record: The customer.
  • Tracking: Full end-to-end tracking provided after dispatch.

UK orders will continue under UK import/VAT rules. We will publish updated timelines and any UK-specific improvements as they go live.

True Kit sends boats from our New Zealand headquarters to customers anywhere in the world. To ensure every boat meets our expectations, each one is quality checked, including full inflation and deflation before being packed by hand. We can typically prepare and dispatch your standard order within 3 working days from confirmed order.

  • We will prepare your order in the True Kit workshop.
  • Your order will be booked with a courier service and we will email you the tracking information
  • Your order will be collected from the True Kit Team by the courier
Customs
  • The customs clearing team from the international courier will assist with efficiently clearing your order.  If there are duties to pay or documents to be completed they will contact you (please note that local duties may be payable)
Delivery
  • Your order will be delivered to your chosen address

In 2026, we will locally support orders and warranty directly within Europe. Each of our boats comes with a warranty and has been tried and tested in the most challenging conditions - from the Arctic Circle to the Tropics.  

Shipping to Europe & The UK — FAQs

Will I pay import VAT and duties?
Yes — until our EU fulfilment goes live in 2026. Import VAT and any applicable duties/clearance fees are collected by the carrier before delivery.
When will EU local fulfilment start?
We’re targeting Q1 2026. Once live, EU orders will be shipped from within Europe with VAT included at checkout and no import charges on delivery.
How will UK orders work after 2026?
The UK remains a separate market with its own VAT rules. We’ll publish any UK-specific changes as they go live.
Can I wait until the EU hub is open?
Yes. Join the waitlist to be notified. If you want a provisional quote now and to convert later, contact us.
What about returns during the interim?
Returns are processed via New Zealand until EU fulfilment starts. We’ll provide instructions and an RMA. Once the EU hub is live, returns will be handled locally.
