Warranty Policy
Effective Date: October 2025
Congratulations on purchasing your new True Kit Inflatable Boat. We wish you many years of enjoyable and safe boating. Your boat is automatically registered for warranty coverage at the time of purchase — no additional registration is required.
Global Warranty Coverage
True Kit provides a global warranty to ensure customers receive support wherever they are in the world.
Until our European service centre becomes operational in early 2026, all warranty claims will be handled through our existing global facilities in:
- New Zealand (True Kit Ltd Headquarters)
- United States (Fort Lauderdale, Florida)
From 2026 onwards, warranty claims from European customers will be processed directly through our new European Distribution and Service Centre based in The Netherlands.
Warranty Coverage
Inflatable Tubes and Components
True Kit warrants the inflatable tubes, seams, and fabric integrity, as well as all factory-installed fittings and accessories (including but not limited to floors, oars, seats, handles, D-rings, seat webbings, rope holders, oar locks, wheels, and valves) against defects in materials and workmanship for a period of:
5 YEARS – LIMITED WARRANTY
Exceptions
The following items are covered under a 1-year limited warranty:
- Pumps
- Boat bags
- Floor bags
Warranty Conditions
- Warranty coverage applies only to customers who purchase directly from True Kit Ltd or authorised distributors.
- Routine maintenance and care, as outlined in the Operation and Maintenance Manual, must be followed to maintain warranty validity.
- The warranty is non-transferable and applies solely to the original purchaser.
- Proof of purchase is required for all claims.
Submitting a Warranty Claim
If you believe your product has a defect covered under warranty, please contact our team in writing or by email at info@truekit.eu.
Include the following details:
- Model name and Hull Identification Number (HIN)
- Your full contact details and purchase date
- A description of the issue or defect
- Photos and/or a short video clearly showing the affected area
Once received, our team will assess the claim and advise on next steps.
If approved, True Kit Ltd or an authorised service facility will repair or, at True Kit’s discretion, replace the affected item.
Customer Responsibilities
- The customer is responsible for the cost and logistics of returning the boat or item to a True Kit facility for warranty evaluation or repair.
- True Kit must be given reasonable opportunity and time to inspect, repair, or replace the product before any other remedy is sought.
Warranty Limitations
- Under no circumstances will True Kit Ltd be liable for incidental or consequential damages related to the use of True Kit products.
- True Kit’s liability in connection with any warranty claim will not exceed the original purchase price of the product.
What Is Not Covered
This warranty does not cover:
- Boats used for racing or commercial purposes (True Kit boats are designed for recreational use).
- Deterioration due to improper storage or prolonged UV exposure.
- Use of an engine exceeding the boat’s maximum horsepower rating.
- Misuse, abuse, or neglect — including improper docking, towing, driving, packing, or transport.
- Damage from collisions, punctures, abrasions, fire, theft, or similar incidents.
- Modifications or alterations to the original product.
- Corrosion or premature wear resulting from poor maintenance or improper use.
- Damage to demo or used boats purchased “as is”.
- Normal wear and tear (e.g., sand in valves, fading, or minor cosmetic changes).
- Any consequential loss or secondary damage caused by product misuse or neglect.
Care Recommendations
Proper care and maintenance will extend the life of your True Kit inflatable. We recommend that you:
- Store your boat under cover or indoors when not in use to protect it from UV exposure.
- Keep sharp objects away from buoyancy tubes.
- Maintain recommended inflation pressures at all times.
- Place fish directly into a fish bin when fishing to avoid punctures or stains.
